Let's Make Art Matter - July 2022 Mini Waterfall Watercolor Painting
Share
Let's come together as a Let's Make Art community and send an art hug to Dr. Nick. Nick made the brave decision to sign a 3-year contract as the first ever Direct of Rehabilitation at a hospital located in the middle of Northeast Montana. He moved from Colorado, away from friends and family, to a small community of about 2000. Not only is his work challenging, but doing it without the support of loved ones nearby has been especially difficult. Let's show Nicole some love, encouragement, and support. In this mini tutorial, Sarah is going to show us how to paint a waterfall. Waterfalls symbolize positive energy and we want to send Dr. Nick all the good vibes, so join us in painting something special to send his way!
If you would like to send a card, a stamped postcard is included our Wanderlust box. If you are not subscribed, but would still like to send some love, please email hello@letsmakeart.com for the address.

Thanks for the Waterfall class.
LOVED this!! Thank you for the thoughts about creating art for others and how it doesn’t need to be perfect. I did watercolor thank you cards for my students that gave me end of year gifts. I have been bringing in my paintings this spring as I finished them. One of the moms shared that when her daughter got my postcard she said, “OH! I wanted one of these!” They have enjoyed the art as well so thank you.
I LOVED THIS FORMAT! I think this was one of the best tutorials I’ve watched (and I’ve watched A LOT!!) I love seeing how you approached something you had never painted before, pointing out what you’re seeing in the reference photo and then trying different techniques to accomplish that and showing that painting is trial and error. Fantastic! I’d love to see more of this type of tutorial.
