Let's Make Art Matter in Honor of Evan - Let's Make History - Vol. III Mini Watercolor Painting
Share
Join watercolor artist, Sarah Cray, and paint something to honor Evan. This month our postcard is going to Bev and Kirk, the parents of Evan. Evan unfortunately passed away in a tragic hiking accident. Evan was an avid reader, dog lover, and music enthusiast. He had a passion for learning photography, adventure, and the beauty of nature. September is his birthday month, so let's come together as a community to honor and celebrate Evan's life.
A pre-stamped postcard is included in our Let's Make History - Vol. III watercolor box. To learn more about our Let's Make Art Matter program visit https://www.letsmakeart.com/blogs/make-art-matter
My 5 year old daughter and I just painted this together and I want to say Sarah, thank you for your vulnerability. My 5 year old asked “Mama, why did her voice get so wiggly when she was reading that poem?”. We talked about the sadness Evan’s parents must be feeling too, and the grief they will always carry. And as you said, grief is part of living and loving well. Thank you for creating this wonderful community and leading in your courageous vulnerability. It does not go unnoticed.
