Let's Make Art Matter for Aubrey- March 2022 Kids Art

Our community has been asked to come together to send love and well wishes to the sweetest little girl named Aubrey. Let's share some joy and love through the art created by you.

At the beginning of 2021, Aubrey was developing normally, and loved to chase her older brothers around. Last year, she began to limp and started falling more often. She went through several misdiagnoses and treatments that were not working. Finally, a muscle biopsy confirmed her parents’ worst fears, and Aubrey was diagnosed with Reducing Body Myopathy. This is a very rare condition, there are currently only 30 known cases worldwide. Unfortunately, it is progressive in children, with no known treatment or cure. Despite the hospital visits, Aubrey's condition continues to deteriorate; as of October 2021 Aubrey lost the ability to walk or stand on her own.

 

In the face of this heartbreaking diagnosis, Aubrey is still a very happy little girl, who continues to enjoy playing with her brothers. Her mother, Allison, has started a foundation, The Aubrey O’Sullivan Foundation. This foundation's mission is to cure Reducing Body Myopathy, raise funds, and bring awareness to this rare condition. Aubrey's family would love to had their mailbox filled with beautiful artwork.
