Butterflies are one of my favorite subjects to paint because 1. Their colors are GORGEOUS 2. They have such delicate lines in their wings and 3. I just feel like everybody loves butterflies! Have you ever met someone who did not get excited when they saw a butterfly out in the wild? Me either, and honestly I wouldn’t want to! This week we are painting the gorgeous Monarch. I love the bright yellow orange color in contrast with the black and white. To keep those nice white dots on their wings we are going to be playing with masking fluid. Masking fluid is essentially a liquid protector, you put it on areas that you want to keep white to protect from any water or color. It is a nice little intro to how to use it and afterward you will be looking for new ways to incorporate it into your paintings!
Have you ever wanted to be inspired by painting with us, but weren't willing to make the plunge to get all the supplies? We understand the dilemma. That is why we created the paint kit! So take a deep breath, add the kit to your cart, and give it a try! You won't regret it!
