I purchased two medium trays. I did have a small issue, which was quickly and courteously resolved. The tray is perfectly sized for my use, easily allows room for mixing, and cleans spotlessly. Very happy with the trays, brushes and paper.

I have both the smaller tray and the larger. I thought I would want the larger one, but I find it cumbersome and hard to store. If you need more room, just get two smaller sizes, then you can stack them or just use one. I'm new to painting (well, almost 2 years now!) but I hope this wisdom helps you decide.

This is an excellent palette for mixing colors. Lots of room to experiment with different hues and to add water for different values. A little dinged when you get it, but such is the nature of the product. I recommend this palette over any other palette I have used.
