We are thrilled to co-host a Let's Make Art Matter Paint-a-Long with our dear friend, Kolbie Blume! Art can help bring people together, spread love, and heal. When something unfortunate happens, we want to offer comfort, but who has the right words for those situations? So instead of saying something, we can create. It's the Let's Make Art Matter way, and we're excited to partner with Kolbie Blume to let a special member of the Writing Desk community know we are thinking about them.
Join watercolor artist, Kolbie Blume, as she teaches how to paint a loose, abstract landscape. A pre-stamped postcard is included in the Creative Watercolor Landscapes course.
If you would still like to send some love, please email hello@letsmakeart.com for the address.

Join watercolor artist, Sarah Cray, as she channels post impressionism art vibes to create a moody mini landscape for our Along the Coast Let's Make Art Matter postcard. Think about your favorite memories associated with the water. Who was there with you? Paint them a little something to honor your time together and send them some happy mail!
Painting flowers is one of our favorite things to do at Let's Make Art. Combine painting a loose floral with our Let's Make Art Matter program and we've got a match made in heaven. Follow along and learn how to paint a snapdragon. Snapdragons symbolize virtue, grace, and strength. They are often given as a show of respect or admiration. Think of someone that you respect and admire, and brighten their day by mailing your postcard to them.
Join us in giving back by painting a fun postcard for Dennis. Dennis is a funny, loving, and supporting father. After serving in the Army for 23 years, Dennis worked as a truck driver until a hip injury in the lates 90's left him disabled. Since then, he has endured a couple of heart attacks, a stroke, and was recently diagnosed with vascular dementia. His wife and daughter, who help care for him, say he really looks forward to getting mail, but rarely does. Let's make Dennis' day by sending him our love and well wishes.
Join watercolor artist, Sarah Cray, as she teaches how to paint an illustrative project. A pre-stamped postcard is included in our How Does Your Garden Grow watercolor box. If you are not subscribed, but would still like to send some love, please email hello@letsmakeart.com for the address.
Books can be such a simple joy that take us to places we've never imagined. This month we're celebrating the people who support us on our literary adventures! Your postcard could go to a local librarian, your book bestie who lets you borrow all the best reads from them, or maybe a member of your book club, or even your mom who taught you the ABC's.
Each month the Let’s Make Art community comes together to provide support for someone through their art. This time around we have the opportunity to give back to someone from our LMA community. We invite you to create a special postcard for the Gibbs family. Their family suffered an incredible loss when their sweet baby Mason passed away. From the day he was born, Mason was a fighter who battled liver and heart issues for the 17 months of his life. Mason's grandmother has participated in our Let's Make Art Matter program, painting postcards for others and we would love to come together to give back to her, her son, and her daughter-in-law. Art has the power to heal and we would love to send the Gibbs family love as they process their loss.
Let's Make Art Matter is why we're here, sharing a little art love and positivity with those around us energizes us so much, and this month, we're taking a moment to honor the fathers, and father-figures, in our lives.
In honor or Father's Day, we want to give you an opportunity to send your own dad some love. We understand that not everyone will have someone to send this to, so maybe take a moment to think of someone you love, who has helped you along the way. Maybe it's a grandparent, a neighbor, a friend, anyone you want to send a little "thank you" watercolor postcard to.
This project is part of our Waves of Change watercolor art box, and you can pick up this art box here.
